Janice Austin

A/P Faculty Representative

Dr. Janice Austin is the Assistant Dean and Director of Admissions & Academic Progress in the Graduate School. Prior to her appointment as Director, Janice served as an Admissions and Academic Progress processor and later the Enrollment Coordinator at the Graduate School. She has been an active participant in university governance since 2016 including multiple leadership roles on the Commission on Administrative and Professional Faculty Affairs and the Administrative and Professional Faculty Senate. Janice earned her doctoral degree in Educational Research and Evaluation and a master’s degree in Higher Education Student Affairs from Virginia Tech as well as a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from Lynchburg College.
