Mr. Christopher Ramos
Mr. Ramos currently serves as a Senior Foreign Affairs Account Manager at Microsoft. He previously held senior leadership roles in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), serving as a Senior Advisor within the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) office and later as Chief of Staff/Special Advisor for Cyber, Infrastructure, Risk, and Resilience (CIRR) Policy.
Prior to DHS, Mr. Ramos worked at Vanguard as a Senior Policy Analyst on their Global Public Policy team and as a Relationship Manager supporting regional financial institutions. He earned his MBA from Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business, where he was selected as a Fellow at the Tuck Center for Business, Government & Society.
Before attending Tuck, Mr. Ramos spent several years in public service as an Intelligence Officer at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). His assignments included a year-long war zone deployment in the Middle East and additional service in South Asia, with a portfolio focused on the Middle East and North Africa.
Mr. Ramos is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), a Defense Council member of the Truman National Security Project (TNSP), and a 2024 NextGen National Security Fellow at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). He also completed the Chief of Staff Association's Chief of Staff Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School.
A native of Northern Virginia, Mr. Ramos is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Management.
Mr. Ramos was appointed on July 1, 2026 by Governor Spanberger.
